Kristen and I first met over a year ago at a NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) awards ceremony.  At the time Kristen had just been named the Business Women of the Year for the southern Idaho Chapter.  Our paths crossed once again when HERLIFE Magazine decided to feature Kristen on the April 2014 cover.

Kristen and her husband Tony are the owners of Eagle Acupuncture.  While Kristen’s husband Tony treats men, women, and children struggling with back pain, arthritis, sports injuries, allergies, male infertility, and weight loss issues; Kristen focuses on women’s health issues exclusively.  In fact, many of her patients refer to her as “the baby maker”.

Kristen’s expertise lies in the area of Eastern Medicine and she routinely uses a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and vitamin therapy to  treat her patients…..many of whom are struggling with infertility.  Some patients come to her after trying one or many forms of western medicine such as IVF (in vitro fertilization).

Many patients have given up hope and are trying Kristen’s approach as a last resort.  Although Kristen wishes this wasn’t the case she states, this is often occurs because people are not aware of all the health care options available to them.  Kristen’s hope is that gradually eastern medicine will become a more recognized form of treatment and women struggling with various issues will come to her first.

Kristen believes in an integrated approach where “traditional medicine works hand in hand with Oriental medicine to achieve the best results for the patient”.    Tests such as MRI’s can be used in combination with Acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutritional treatment options.

Kristen’s practice is not exclusive to women struggling with infertility.  She also treats patients struggling with menopause and other menstrual issues.
