Still Canning / Boise photographer

UGGG….. I still have tomatoes coming out of my ears.  I know, I know; this is what I get for planting so many tomato plants.  I’ve been canning about once a week for the past month, just trying to keep up with my little crop.  I just keep telling myself I’ll feel much differently about all the canned goodies when winter rolls around. 
I’ve been doing my best to mix up the products I’ve been canning so I have a little variety this winter.  As I mentioned a few weeks ago I started with salsa.  I’ve since moved on to tomato soup and marinara.  If anyone else has some great tomato ideas I’d love for you to let me know.  Honestly I’m running out of ideas besides just canning diced tomatoes. That’s kind of boring and I’m hoping for  a spark of inspiration.
Tomato Soup
(Recipe is a variation of America’s Test Kitchen’s “creamless” cream of tomato soup.
