In honor of Memorial Day, I’ve decided to re-post a few photos from a portrait session I had a few years back.  Nicole, a Blackhawk pilot and myself, met at Gowen Field in Boise. I photographed her for a HERLIFE magazine article featuring her.  It’s the one and only time… to this date.. that I’ve photographed a female Blackhawk pilot.

This photoshoot was a thrill.  Not only because I got to have my first experience photographing a female military pilot.. but it is the one and only time I have ever stepped foot inside a helicopter.  Although we never left the ground, it’s an experience I’ll never forget.

My thanks go out to Nicole and all the other military men and women who have or are currently serving.  I for one appreciate all you’ve done for our country.
