Lacy and Brennan were in Boise over their spring break last week, taking care of all the last minute preparations for their wedding. I had the pleasure of spending a little time with them before the “big day” in one of my favorite winter hideaways.
I am looking forward to June. Your wedding is going to be beautiful.
I have once again photographed one of the judges of the Idaho Supreme Court, along with a few of his staff. It was fun and hope to see you guys soon.
Let me just start by saying I absolutely love the Adelmann building in downtown Boise. I’m a total sucker for old buildings, especially those which still contain some of the original elements of the period in which the building was built. The upstairs of the Adelmann building where the Capital City Event Center
is housed is a perfect example of the blending of old and new to create a gorgeous wedding and event venue for the Boise area.
This building is rich with history. It has gorgeous wood floors, period style wall paper, velvet drapes dripping with opulence and leather furniture that just begs you to sit and ponder awhile. Oh, and don’t get me started on the turret. Oh how I love a building with a turret!
OK, well I guess it’s time to really tell you what this post is all about. I assure you, it’s not really about how much I adore the Adelmann….which I do. It’s about Quinceañera photos.
Capital City Event Center wanted to promote their facilities to families getting ready to host a Quinceañera . The space is ideal for weddings…. so why not promote the space as a Quinceañera venue as well? To help get the word out the community, we decided to set up a photo shoot complete with a model, dress, and hair and makeup. We spent a few hours in the venue photographing the “oh so gorgeous” model throughout the facilities. The entire goal of the photo shoot being to promote the facility for more than just weddings. I think we created some gorgeous portraits which highlight how beautiful this venue really is.
So….if you or someone you know is looking for a venue to hold your next event…consider Capital City Event Center. The space is gorgeous….you have a great view of downtown from the second story windows AND…. the facility is centrally located in downtown Boise. You can’t get much better than that.
Saturday February 25th I once again was given the opportunity to photograph the events of the 2012 Heart Ball. This is just one of many events the American Heart Association puts on to help raise money for medical research and heart healthy education for the public.
The ladies from the local Heart Association office gathered together for a quick group shot.
A heart disease survivor is honored at each heart ball. This year the honor was given to the Walker family for their amazing journey with the youngest from their bunch.
Regence Blue Shield of Idaho made a generous donation to the American Heart Association.
