Anna & Tyler: Engaged {Boise engagement Photographer}

I love having the opportunity to photograph engagement portraits for couples, even if I’m not their wedding photographer.  It’s such an exciting time in one’s life and I enjoy capturing those special moments in time for couples to enjoy in their future years together.
I had a wonderful time photographing and getting to know both Anna and Tyler as we walked through Kathryn Albertson park.  We actually had to reschedule this session a few times due to weather.  The first session was moved back so we could wait for Boise to “green up”.  The second appointment was scheduled for early May but as luck would have it the rain and wind spoiled our plans.  We once again rescheduled the session and ended up picking one of the very few perfect spring days we’ve had here in Boise within the past few months.
Congrats Anna and Tyler.    I wish you guys all the best on your big day, and for your future together!

Linda & David | Boise Engagement Photographer

I met Linda for the first time just a few short weeks ago. At the time of our initial conversation, Linda and David had only been engaged for three days. Her excitement about being engaged and her upcoming nuptials were absolutely intoxicating.

Our First Meeting

The following day Linda and I met to discuss wedding and engagement photography and to walk through her property. After chatting for a bit, I was stunned at the amount of progress she had already made in her wedding planning.  Keep in mind; this was only day four of Linda and David’s engagement. It was not quite a week into being engaged and she already had a wedding date, venue, the caterer, cake, bridesmaid’s attire and her gown selected.  I found this beyond impressive! Especially considering it took me about one month just to find a dress for my own wedding! All the other details took me numerous more months to decide on.  I couldn’t help but wonder how she can make decisions so quickly.  By the end of our meeting, it became more and more obvious. When Linda sets her mind on something, she doesn’t mess around.

The Engagement Photos

During our initial meeting, Linda mentioned they would like to have engagement photos.  We scheduled the engagement session for the following week. For this photo session we decided to utilize Linda’s property, located just outside of Eagle, Idaho. She has a beautifully landscaped Japanese style garden in her backyard.  It’s just perfect for portraits.  Plus, it’s an area the couple and their dogs spend a lot of time in. Her home and gorgeous gardens will also be the venue for their upcoming wedding.  Therefore it seemed like a fitting location to capture the first professional photos of the happy couple.

Thanks, Linda and Dave for a fun-filled, yet relaxing morning in the garden!  I truly look forward to sharing in the joy of your wedding day.

Sandra +Sean / Boise Wedding Photograher

Sandra and I met a few years ago at the David’s Bridal store here in Boise.  At the time she and her fiance Sean were planning on having an Oregon beach wedding. A wedding date had been set and plans were in the works.  Unfortunately circumstances were not in their favor.  Life sometimes throws unexpected curve balls in our direction and when this happens we are left to adjust our plans.
Recently things were finally looking up and the couple decided to seize their moment.  A dress was purchased, a tux rented and flowers were picked out.  This time Sandra and Sean decided to keep it simple.  The two gathered their close friends and family together and met on the steps of Boise City Hall to exchange vows.  Although the ceremony was “short and sweet” it was not lacking in love and affection.
Thanks Sandra and Sean for allowing me to be a part of your much awaited day.
