Idaho Supreme Court and the Idaho Court of Appeals / Boise portrait photographer

As some of you know June has been just a bit hectic for me.  As they say, when it rains it pours.  In addition to my normal “wedding” work load I have been helping cover shoots for a fellow photographer while he is on vacation. I’m not only capturing a new variety of shots to add to my portfolio but I’m also getting a chance to show everyone that I do indeed photograph all types of portraits.  Weddings have become my specialty but my professional background began in families, children & group portraiture.
So here are a few samples from a session I had with both the Idaho Supreme Court and the Idaho Court of Appeals.

And then there were two……

Cucumbers!!!
A few months back I posted a few pictures of my small little make shift greenhouse my husband had built for me.  I’ve spent months babying all my little seedlings and because of a cool spring did not get anything transfered outside until early June.
Although I have a lot of different flower and vegetable varieties throughout my yard I am currently SO EXCITED about just two of my little ones.  My two little cucumbers in a pot.  They’re just so darn cute.
As the summer continues….stay tuned for more tales from the garden.

Lance & Michelle / Coeur d’Alene, Idaho wedding photographer

Coeur d’Alene Idaho was the beautiful backdrop for this June wedding.  Once again luck was on our side and the nasty cloud and damp, rain filled skies cleared just for the wedding.  I think I can safely say everyone in attendance enjoyed one of the first sun filled days we have had all spring.
Lance & Michelle said their I do’s in the St. Pius Catholic church and then continued onto the evening festivities at the Hampton Inn.
Nothing says syle like a Vera Wang dress.
Women do love their shoes.
A few photos in the church.
The priest brought a smile to everyone’s face.
After the ceremony we drove down to the waterfront.
Michelle grew up going to a lot of Jewish weddings.  When she was young she told her friends she wished she was Jewish just so she could do the Hora at her wedding.
Her friends decided to fulfill her wish & bring a little of their Jewish tradition to her wedding.

Michelle put a lot of thought into her playlist & everyone danced the night away.

Swim Team / Boise Sports Photographer

I know people don’t commonly think of me as anything but a wedding photographer, but as I always say, if I can photograph a wedding I can photograph any other portrait.

This week I got the opportunity to photograph the Crane Creek Swim Team and help a fellow photographer out of a bind. The photographer who usually shoots this was on vacation and unable to photograph this by himself. He asked if I would step in for him and help out. Of course I said yes.

Andrew & Mariana / Boise Wedding Photographer

The first weekend in June is traditionally one of the biggest wedding days around the country. Mariana & Andrew decided to join in on this long standing tradition when the wedding was set for June 5th.

Everything went off without a hitch. The sky was crystal clear, the sun was warm to the skin & love was most definitely in the air. The wedding was a small intimate affair with only their closest friends and family being in attendance.

Thanks guys for allowing me to be a special part of your day. It was an absolute pleasure to watch you begin your lives together! You are both so sweet & sincere and I really couldn’t think of two people better matched for each other.

Mariana & her sister right before she put on her dress.

Gotta love the converse!

Both the ceremony & the reception were held at the Courtyard Marriott on Eagle Road.

Both Andrew & Mariana love Batman….as you can see by the cake.

These two are quite a pair.
They spent their entire first dance talking & laughing.

Leapin’ into summer.

Wedding season is here and in addition to being busy again I’ll be packaging my product & sending it home with all my wonderful clients. This year I decided to add a little pizazz to my bags & boxes by ordering a few custom stickers.

The stickers arrived today & I couldn’t be more pleased. In fact I kind of feel like I’m 6 again, collecting stickers & hoping to score a cool scratch n’ sniff.
