As some of you know June has been just a bit hectic for me. As they say, when it rains it pours. In addition to my normal “wedding” work load I have been helping cover shoots for a fellow photographer while he is on vacation. I’m not only capturing a new variety of shots to add to my portfolio but I’m also getting a chance to show everyone that I do indeed photograph all types of portraits. Weddings have become my specialty but my professional background began in families, children & group portraiture.
So here are a few samples from a session I had with both the Idaho Supreme Court and the Idaho Court of Appeals.
A few months back I posted a few pictures of my small little make shift greenhouse my husband had built for me. I’ve spent months babying all my little seedlings and because of a cool spring did not get anything transfered outside until early June.
Although I have a lot of different flower and vegetable varieties throughout my yard I am currently SO EXCITED about just two of my little ones. My two little cucumbers in a pot. They’re just so darn cute.
As the summer continues….stay tuned for more tales from the garden.
A few weeks back I showed you a peek at the new stickers I had ordered for my portrait packaging. I’m quite excited about the new look and thought I’d give everyone a little peek.
Well here is the whole new look of Leap Photography for 2010.
Also new this year……custom flash drives with oh so cute little boxes.
Coeur d’Alene Idaho was the beautiful backdrop for this June wedding. Once again luck was on our side and the nasty cloud and damp, rain filled skies cleared just for the wedding. I think I can safely say everyone in attendance enjoyed one of the first sun filled days we have had all spring.
Lance & Michelle said their I do’s in the St. Pius Catholic church and then continued onto the evening festivities at the Hampton Inn.
Nothing says syle like a Vera Wang dress.
Women do love their shoes.
A few photos in the church.
The priest brought a smile to everyone’s face.
After the ceremony we drove down to the waterfront.
Michelle grew up going to a lot of Jewish weddings. When she was young she told her friends she wished she was Jewish just so she could do the Hora at her wedding.
Her friends decided to fulfill her wish & bring a little of their Jewish tradition to her wedding.
Michelle & her KIVI buddies.
Michelle put a lot of thought into her playlist & everyone danced the night away.
Just a few of Michelle’s ole’ friends.
The first weekend in June is traditionally one of the biggest wedding days around the country. Mariana & Andrew decided to join in on this long standing tradition when the wedding was set for June 5th. Everything went off without a hitch. The sky was crystal clear, the sun was warm to the skin & love was most definitely in the air. The wedding was a small intimate affair with only their closest friends and family being in attendance.
Thanks guys for allowing me to be a special part of your day. It was an absolute pleasure to watch you begin your lives together! You are both so sweet & sincere and I really couldn’t think of two people better matched for each other.
Mariana & her sister right before she put on her dress.
Gotta love the converse!
Both Andrew & Mariana love Batman….as you can see by the cake.
These two are quite a pair.
They spent their entire first dance talking & laughing.
