The Snake River Valley is not only the perfect place to grow grapes, but it’s also the go to spot for a”Winery Wedding” in Idaho.
Sawtooth Winery
One of the many wineries available for couples to host a wedding is Sawtooth Winery. It’s located south of Nampa & Caldwell in the Snake River Valley. The venue has gorgeous views of the valley and ample space for your guests to roam. Plus…. did I mention the wine?
Matt & Arwen
I’ve known Matt and Arwen for about 4 years now. My husband and Matt first met each other while my husband was shopping the beer isle in the Boise Co-Op. My husband is a beer connoisseur/collector/beer geek and Matt is the Boise Co-Op “beer guy”. Over the years, our relationship with Matt and his better half, Arwen, has moved beyond the Co-Op sales floor and into our social lives. My husband and I now consider the happy couple our friends.
Last fall Matt finally popped the “big question”. Arwen said yes and wedding planning soon followed. The search for a venue and wedding vendors was on. In the end, they chose the beautiful grounds of Sawtooth Winery as the backdrop for their festivities. It fit in perfectly with their goal to incorporate local products into their wedding and to promote sustainability at the same time. Basically they were envisioning a farm to table event. With this in mind, every detail of the wedding day was taken into account. This theme carried through in every detail from the winery, floral arrangements, cake and food and of course hiring me to take their wedding photos.
All in all the wedding ceremony and reception was gorgeous! Matt and his groomsmen were quite dashing; the bridesmaids were beautiful; but best of all…at the end of the day, everyone had a great time!
