Walk To End Alzheimers: Twin Falls

Alzheimer’s took the life of my uncle just a few weeks ago.

A while back Alzheimer’s took away one of my favorite neighbors I have ever had.

Not many people know this, but when I was in high school and in college, I was a CNA. In high school I worked in a nursing home and put my self through college working in home care. The job easily worked around my classes and earned me some cash. Many of the people I took care of still hold a very special place in my heart. They influenced me in a variety of ways… Ask me about Minnie Preston some day!!

Many of those I worked for in homecare had dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. The disease is terrible and terrifying. That is why I spend so much effort every year working with the Alzheimer’s Association. Without research, there will never be an end to the pain it causes so many people. YOU CAN HELP.

The Twin Falls Walk To End Alzheimers, is just a few short days away. Leap Photography will once again be on hand capturing candid images of the event as well as photographing teams. All team photos are free to those who come through the photo booth area.

And after Twin Falls, join us the following 3x weekend, in Pocatello, Idaho Falls and then back here in the Treasure Valley.

I’m looking forward to this year’s walks! It’s always a joy to see the crowd wearing purple in support of such a worthy cause.
