In my career as an event\u00a0photographer\u00a0I’ve had the privilege\u00a0to photograph\u00a0a wide range of\u00a0events\u00a0and I’ve met people from all different walks of life. Each\u00a0event has it’s own energy, but few match the prestige and exclusivity of the annual\u00a0Allen & Company\u00a0retreat in\u00a0Sun Valley\u00a0Idaho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


What is the Allen and Company Conference?\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Every July, right after the last firework fizzles out, the mountains around\u00a0Sun Valley, Idaho\u00a0are lit up by a different\u00a0kind of spark, one ideas,\u00a0influence and innovation.\u00a0\u00a0That\u2019s when the\u00a0Allen & Company\u00a0conference rolls into town\u200b: a private, \u200bi\u200bnvitation-only summit\u00a0of\u00a0CEOs, media moguls, tech giants, and political powerhouses\u200b.\u00a0 Some call it a summer camp for\u00a0billionaires.<\/p>\n\n\n

Photographing the Allen & Company Event in Sun Valley<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Last year, I was hired by Shutterstock to photograph the event and capture some of the energy and exclusivity that surrounds this high-profile gatheringMy camera caught glimpses of Apple CEO Tim Cook, Amazon\u2019s Jeff Bezos, and OpenAI\u2019s Sam Altman\u2014alongside media icons like Oprah Winfrey, Shari Redstone (Paramount Global), and Bob Iger (Walt Disney)\u2014all set against the stunning backdrop of the Idaho mountains and the historic Sun Valley Lodge.The event is famously hush-hush, with very limited media access, which makes capturing these moments all the more unique. “The Press” are allowed to photograph this event from only a few designated vantage points, so fast reflexes and long lenses are essential tools of the trade for any Sun Valley event photographer.<\/p>\n\n\n

Returning as a Sun Valley Event Photographer in 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m thrilled to be returning this year. Shutterstock has once again brought me on to cover the 2025 Allen & Co. conference, which kicks off just days from now.
