Photography:  Idaho Voices for Children &#8211; Children&#8217;s Champion Luncheon | Boise Photographer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s time for another event photography blog post.\u00a0 Today I&#8217;m talking about the 2015 Children&#8217;s Champion Luncheon&#8221;.\u00a0 This post is long overdue!\u00a0 I just noticed as I was getting ready to write about the 2016 event&#8230; that I still had not highlighted 2015.\u00a0\u00a0 I&#8217;m not going to lie, I&#8217;m terrible at keeping up this blog!<\/p>\n<p>So&#8230;what is the\u00a0 &#8220;Children&#8217;s Champion Luncheon&#8221;?\u00a0 It&#8217;s both a fundraising event and an awards luncheon put on by <a href=\"https:\/\/idahovoices.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Idaho Voices For Children<\/a>.\u00a0 This organization is a group of concerned Idaho citizens who gather together to work on and implement new government policies and issues.\u00a0 Issues that promote the interests and well being of children.\u00a0 The primary issues they focus on are health, education, safety and family economic security.<\/p>\n<p>Every year an individual from Idaho is honored at the luncheon.\u00a0 They are given the &#8220;Children&#8217;s Champion Award&#8221;.\u00a0 This person chosen has made great strides to make changes within Idaho or their community to help children.<\/p>\n<p>Bev Harad was the 2015 Children&#8217;s Champion Award winner.\u00a0 Bev started a statewide advocacy group called &#8220;People for Schools&#8221;, worked 18 years as a Boise School Trustee, and serves on the Boise Schools Foundation Board.\u00a0 She&#8217;s spent 25+ years advocating for Idaho&#8217;s youth.<\/p>\n<p>When an organization such as this is planning an upcoming awards event, they bring in an event photographer such as myself.\u00a0 Leap Photography was hired to not only photograph the luncheon but to capture candid photos and detail shots for future event promotions.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks Idaho Voices for Children for choosing Leap Photography.\u00a0 It was a pleasure!<\/p>\n<p><a
