{"id":4485,"date":"2015-05-25T18:38:25","date_gmt":"2015-05-25T18:38:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/leapphotography.com\/blog\/?p=4485"},"modified":"2020-07-02T14:40:20","modified_gmt":"2020-07-02T14:40:20","slug":"wedding-day-emergency-kit-boise-wedding-photographers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/leapphotography.com\/blog\/2015\/05\/wedding-day-emergency-kit-boise-wedding-photographers\/","title":{"rendered":"Wedding Day Emergency Kit | Boise Photographers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Memorial Day is the official start of summer for many families around the U.S.\u00a0\u00a0 This start of summer also marks the beginning of wedding season around the nation.\u00a0 Couples everywhere are finalizing their wedding plans and preparing for their big day.\u00a0 If you are among those who are tying the knot this summer there is one thing you can do in advance that can &#8220;save your bacon&#8221; on the day of your wedding.\u00a0 Pack an emergency wedding day kit.<\/p>\n<p>As a wedding photographer I&#8217;ve been witness to many chaotic moments.\u00a0 Sometimes it&#8217;s a result of an item forgotten at home&#8230; and other times a mishap occurs and an item such as a band-aid is no where to be found.\u00a0 Most of these issues can easily be resolved by having a kit of supplies at your fingertips.<\/p>\n<p>With this in mind&#8230;here is a brief list of items frequently needed on your wedding day.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Black socks\u00a0 <\/strong><em>(include both adult &amp; boys sizes)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Band-aids<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Blister treatment<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Allergy Pills<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Eye drops<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Pain Reliever<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tums, pepto bismol etc.<\/strong>\u00a0<em> (you never know when someone might not be feeling well or nerves have just gotten the better of you.)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Sunscree<em>n<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Bug spray<\/strong>\u00a0 <em>(evening weddings in Idaho require a little extra skin protection)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Sewing Kit.\u00a0<\/strong> <em>(Include scissors, needle + white &amp; black thread)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Spot Remover<\/strong> <em>(if the ring bearer dumps grape soda on his white shirt&#8230; you&#8217;ll be glad you this.\u00a0 Believe me it can and has happened!)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tampons\/panty liners<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Baby wipes<\/strong> <em>(these are especially helpful with the little ones in the bridal party)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Extra items to consider<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Safety Pins<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Bobby Pins<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Deodorant<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Hairspray<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Nail file<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Nail clippers<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tweezers<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Corsage pins<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Lint roller\u00a0 <\/strong><em>(make sure the guys have this one)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Lighter<\/strong> (preferably a BBQ lighter&#8230;..for lighting candles)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Of course many more items could be thrown into your emergency kit&#8230;.but as I mentioned before the items above are the ones I see couples most frequently scrambling to find.<\/p>\n<p>In the end&#8230;.just remember you want to have FUN at your wedding.\u00a0 So&#8230; don&#8217;t sweat the small stuff.\u00a0 Just remember your guests only remember if they had a great time at your wedding.\u00a0 They won&#8217;t remember if a candle wasn&#8217;t lit or you had a run in your stocking.\u00a0 So&#8230;.if something happens, and you don&#8217;t have an item from above to fix the problem, take a deep breath and remember &#8220;I&#8217;m getting married today!&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Memorial Day is the official start of summer for many families around the U.S.\u00a0\u00a0 This start of summer also marks the beginning of wedding season around the nation.\u00a0 Couples everywhere are finalizing their wedding plans and preparing for their big day.\u00a0 If you are among those who are tying the knot this summer there is [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":7528,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[141,3],"tags":[111],"class_list":["post-4485","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-tips-tricks","category-wedding-photography","tag-weddings"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
